Try it now · about 1 minute

Begin with a breath.

One minute to reconnect with your breath. Sit comfortably, soften your shoulders, and let the water lead: it rises as you breathe in and settles as you breathe out.

Breathing technique

Fill the belly, then the ribs, then the chest. Empty in reverse.

Practise seated or lying down, never in water. If you feel dizzy or tingly, stop and breathe normally.

What happens in the body?

In the cold

Breathing quickens, heart rate rises and alertness sharpens. Vasoconstriction narrows the blood vessels and reduces blood flow to the hands and feet.

In the heat

Body temperature rises and heart rate climbs to a level similar to moderate exercise. You sweat more, and vasodilation widens the blood vessels, sending more blood to the skin.

Why people practise it

  • May support cardiovascular health over time
  • Promotes relaxation and helps reduce stress
  • Helps muscles recover and relax
  • May improve mood, focus and resilience

General information, not medical advice. Everyone’s body responds differently.

  1. Breathewith intention.
  2. Noticehow your body responds.
  3. Regulateyour breath, and adjust as needed.
  4. Respondwith awareness, not reaction.

Questions

First-time questions are welcome.

Can’t find yours? Ask it in the booking form and we’ll answer before you commit to anything.

I’ve never done an ice bath. Is this for me?

Yes. The experience is built with first-timers in mind. Before anyone goes near the ice, we walk through breathing, how to enter and how to exit, and you decide each step for yourself.

Do I have to get in the ice?

No. The ice bath is always optional. You can join the breathwork and movement, sit beside the tub, or step out at any moment. Choosing is part of the practice.

How long do people stay in the ice?

There is no target time and no endurance test. You stay only as long as feels right, with a facilitator beside you, and you can exit whenever you need to.

What if I panic when I feel the cold?

A gasp and a racing heart are a normal first reaction. Your facilitator helps you slow your breath, and stepping out is always fine.

Is it safe for me?

Cold-water immersion isn’t right for everyone. If you have a heart condition, uncontrolled blood pressure, a pregnancy, or a history of fainting or seizures, check with your doctor first, and tell us about any health concerns before the session. See the full safety list.

Can you run a session for our company, team or retreat?

Yes. Tell us about your group, the number of people and your preferred dates in the booking form, and we’ll plan the session and venue details with you.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the format, group size and venue. Send a booking request and we’ll reply with the details. There’s no commitment until you confirm.

What should I wear and bring?

Comfortable clothes you can get wet, a towel, a change of clothes, a water bottle and slippers. Use the checklist.
